Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes practical sessions and exercises where participants carryout rope rescue operations from a confined space. Theory learned in the class will be applied using rope rescue methods and equipment. The course is designed for persons who could be required to undertake a rescue of persons working in confined space like an oil tank. The successful attendees will be able to undertake rescue operations as part of an on-site emergency. The course will provide the skills and knowledge to attendees to confidently identify the equipment required, assess hazards associated with the task and safely perform rescue from heights or depths. The course will provide foundational skills in confined space safety and rope rescue as well as rescue from fall protection. Delegates will be certified based on the requirements of NFPA 1006 and 1670 to ?Operations Level of Confined Space Rescue? (the certification testing should include performance evaluations as well as written exam).

In an unlikely event, the course instructor may modify the above training methodology before or during the course for technical reasons.

If this course is delivered online as a Virtual Training, the following limitations will be applicable

Certificates: Only soft copy certificates will be issued to participants through Haward’s Portal. This includes Wallet Card Certificates if applicable
Training Materials: Only soft copy Training Materials (PDF format) will be issued to participant through the Virtual Training Platform
Training Methodology: 80% of the program will be theory and 20% will be practical sessions, exercises, case studies, simulators or videos
Training Program: The training will be for 4 hours per day starting at 09:30 and ending at 13:30

Site Visit: Not Applicable
Simulators: Only software simulators will be used in the virtual courses. Hardware simulators are not applicable and will not be used in Virtual Training
