where participants will be engaged in a series of
interactive small groups and class workshops.
This course is designed to provide participants with a
detailed and up-to-date overview of Water Sampling.
It covers the importance of water sampling in water
quality monitoring and compliance; the physical,
chemical and microbiological water quality
parameters; the sampling plans, sampling locations
and representative sampling requirements; the
selection of appropriate sampling bottles, containers
and sampling equipment; preparing, inspecting,
cleaning and calibrating sampling equipment; and
the pre-sampling checklists, sample identification
and documentation requirements.
During this interactive course, participants will learn
the sampling techniques, sampling procedures and
prevention of cross-contamination, sample handling
errors and sampling inconsistencies; the sample
preservation methods for chemical and
microbiological analysis; the proper sample labelling,
chain of custody and traceability procedures; the
quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC)
requirements in water sampling, occupational health
