SE0205 : Demolition & Construction Knowledge

This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Demolition and Construction Knowledge. It covers the types of construction projects, project lifecycle and roles and responsibilities on site; the demolition works, construction materials basics and site preparation and surveying; the health, safety and environmental (HSE) fundamentals, construction equipment and demolition planning and assessment; the manual demolition methods, mechanical demolition methods and controlled demolition techniques; the waste management and recycling; and the safety in demolition operations and foundation construction.
During this interactive course, participants will learn the structural systems, concrete technology and masonry and finishing works; the construction scheduling, quality control in construction and construction project management basics; the coordination between trades, risk management in construction and contracts and legal aspects; the site logistics and planning, sustainability in construction and integration of demolition and construction; and the modern construction technologies, safety leadership and culture, inspection and handover.
