interactive small groups and class workshops.
This course is designed to provide participants with
detailed and up-to-date overview of Carbon Credits
Capturing & Trading. It covers the climate change,
decarbonization and carbon markets; the carbon
footprinting and GHG emissions accounting; the
fundamentals of carbon credits, carbon offsets,
compliance and voluntary carbon markets; the
carbon credit standards, methodologies and integrity,
decarbonization and carbon management; the carbon
credit generation opportunities and carbon capture,
utilization and storage (CCUS); and the carbon credit
project and measurement, reporting and verification
(MRV).
During this interactive course, participants will learn
the carbon credit certification and issuance process;
the carbon project economics and feasibility
assessment; the carbon market architecture, trading
mechanisms, carbon credit pricing and market
analysis; the carbon credit trading process and
carbon trading risk management; the international
carbon markets and Article 6 and identifying
emissions-reduction opportunities across the energy
value chain; the abatement versus purchasing
external carbon credits; and building a portfolio of
reduction, removal and carbon-credit opportunities.
