Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes various practical sessions and exercises. Theory learnt will be applied using the “MS Excel” application.
This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Financial Analysis, Modelling and Forecasting. It covers the break-even, operating leverage and contribution margin; the discounting and compounding analysis techniques; the capital investment proposals leading to decision making and financial position; the techniques for analyzing operating performance, financial structure of the firm and variance analysis as a financial tool; the business segments and tools and techniques for analyzing cash, accounts receivable and inventory; and the portfolio investment analysis, financial planning and techniques for analyzing mergers and acquisitions.
During this interactive course, participants will learn the forecasting and financial planning as management tools, forecasting methods for financial planning and forecasting with regression and Markov methods; the financial forecasting, planning and budgeting techniques and forecasting cash inflows for budgeting; the financial modeling, techniques to develop optimal budgets and using spreadsheet and financial modeling packages; and the business valuation methods and security valuation.
