Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops.
This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Visual Quality Inspection & Defect Detection in Packing & Packaging Operations. It covers the importance of visual quality inspection, packaging operations and packaging materials used in operations; the principles of visual inspection, packaging quality standards and FFS bag defects; the stretch hood film defects, pallet defects, packaging accessories defects, storage-related packaging defects and filling quality defects; the sealing quality inspection, printing and labeling defects, palletizing quality defects and stretch hood application defects; the finished pallet quality inspection, acceptance, rejection standards and visual inspection checklists; the defect classification and documentation of inspection findings; and the root cause analysis of packaging defects.
During this interactive course, participants will learn the defect prevention techniques through standard operating procedures, equipment checks, packaging material verification and preventive inspection practices; the common customer packaging complaints, investigation techniques, preventive improvements and continuous monitoring; maintaining inspection consistency, effective communication of defects, escalation procedures and shift quality ownership; and the continuous improvement in packaging quality covering quality KPIs, trend analysis and daily quality meetings.
