Course Description
This comprehensive course provides participants with an in-depth unders tanding of construction materials, construction techniques, quality control, modern construction methods, sustainability and industry best practices. Participants will gain practical knowledge of material properties, selection criteria, construction processes, inspection methods and quality assurance to ensure safe, durable and cost-effective construction projects.
Further, the course will also discuss the construction materials, cement and cementitious materials and concrete technology; the aggregates, steel as a construction material, material testing and quality control; the masonry materials, timber and engineered wood products and metals and non-ferrous materials; the finishing materials, modern and sustainable construction materials including thermal, acoustic and waterproofing materials; and the site preparation and earthworks, foundation construction methods and reinforced concrete construction.
During this interactive course, participants will learn the structural steel construction, masonry and building envelope construction; the construction equipment and productivity, construction quality management, construction safety practices and building codes and standards; the construction planning and scheduling, cost control and material management; the inspection, testing and commissioning, prefabrication and modular construction and sustainable construction practices; the digital technologies in construction and repair, rehabilitation and retrofitting; the 3D concrete printing, smart materials and self-healing concrete; and the robotics and automation in construction, climate resilience and resilient infrastructure design.
