Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops.
This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Climate Change Strategy & Risk Management. It covers the greenhouse gas mechanisms, global warming, key climate indicators and regional climate risks; the climate change and energy sector impacts, global climate policies, regulatory landscape as well as climate risk categories and frameworks; the physical risk identification, transition risk identification and climate scenario analysis; and the quantitative risk assessment techniques, climate data and analytics including risk prioritization and materiality assessment.
During this interactive course, participants will learn the climate strategy development, integration with business strategy and climate risk mitigation strategies; the climate adaptation and resilience planning, climate governance and organizational structure; the climate disclosure and reporting covering TCFD framework implementation, CDP and ESG reporting standards and ISSB/IFRS sustainability reporting; the ESG integration and performance management through climate KPIs and metrics, linking ESG performance to financial outcomes and sustainability dashboards and reporting tools; translating strategy into actionable plans; the project prioritization and resource allocation; and developing KPIs and monitoring frameworks.
