ME1186 : Fundamentals of Pump & Compressor Systems

This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Fundamentals of Pump and Compressor Systems. It covers the pump and compressor systems, fluid mechanics fundamentals and pump compressor fundamentals; the pump and compressor components, engineering units and performance parameters; the centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps and pump performance curves; the pump system design, operation and control and pump problems and troubleshooting; and the reciprocating compressors, rotary compressors, dynamic compressors and compressor performance.
During this interactive course, participants will learn the compressor auxiliary systems and compressor operational problems; the preventive maintenance, condition monitoring and mechanical failures; the reliability improvement, safety in pump, compressor systems and environmental considerations; the energy efficiency, system optimization and performance evaluation; the smart pumps and compressors, digital monitoring systems and industrial internet of things (IIoT); and the predictive maintenance technologies.
