Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops. This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and an up-to date overview of Diesel Engine Generator Operation, Maintenance and Troubleshooting. It covers the components, applications and operation of diesel engine generators; the diesel engine generator maintenance schedules, checklists and techniques for performing routine maintenance tasks; the troubleshooting techniques, common problems and their causes; the techniques for diagnosing and repairing common problems; the cooling systems, fuel systems and lubrication systems; and maintaining and troubleshooting cooling systems, fuel systems and lubrication systems in a professional manner. During this interactive course, participants will learn the components and functions of cooling system, fuel system and lubrication system; the electrical and control systems including their components and functions; maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, control systems and diesel engine generator load testing; the load testing procedures and safety and environmental considerations; and the safety procedures, guidelines and techniques for ensuring environmental compliance during operation and maintenance.
