Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies and exercises where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops. 
 
This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Hazard Recognition (HR) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for JSA Leaders. It covers the nuanced aspects of hazard recognition and job safety analysis and the broader context of how these processes impact organizational safety; how advanced hazard recognition and JSA contribute to shaping and enhancing the overall safety culture within an organization; the senior management's role in modeling safe behaviors and fostering a safety culture; the strategies for aligning leadership practices with safety culture objectives; and the complex workplace scenarios to identify hidden or less obvious hazards and the psychological factors influencing hazard perception. 
 
Further, the course will also discuss the advanced methods for effectively mitigating identified risks; a robust certification process for JSA leaders within sites; the criteria and standards for JSA leader certification; the strategies for continuous learning and professional development in HSSE; the strategies to ensure long-term competency in hazard recognition and JSA among senior management; the methods for assessing and maintaining competency; recognizing and categorizing hazards; the advanced process, components and benefits of JSA; and the advanced risk control methods including cutting-edge engineering controls and technological advancements.
