Course Description
This practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops.
This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Lube Oil System, Design & Troubleshooting. It covers the lubrication and lube oil systems, properties and types of lubricating oils, system layout and architecture; the filtration and contamination control, cooling and temperature control and system instrumentation and monitoring; the pumps and pumping arrangements, reservoir and tank design and piping and flow distribution design; the seal and bearing lubrication systems, heaters and pre-lubrication systems and safety and reliability features; the lube oil system operating procedures, oil sampling, analysis techniques and condition monitoring; the preventive and predictive maintenance, flushing and cleaning techniques; and the operational problems and alarm handling.
During this interactive course, participants will learn the common lube oil system failures and root cause analysis methods; troubleshooting pumps and flow issues and bearing and seal troubleshooting; the oil degradation and contamination problems; the system trip and emergency handling, advanced system design and integration; the performance improvement, energy optimization and bypass filtration systems; the high-efficiency particulate removal, dehydration systems and oil reclamation techniques; modernizing old systems, control panel upgrades and additional instrumentation; and the brownfield integration strategies.
