Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes various practical sessions and exercises. Theory learnt will be applied using “MS-Excel” application.

This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Financial Tools in Procurement. It covers the procurement finance, procurement cost structures, procurement financial planning, understanding supplier financials and procurement and working capital; the cost analysis techniques, total cost of ownership (TCO), break-even and sensitivity analysis and supplier profitability and pricing models; the benchmarking, financial KPIs and capital budgeting in procurement; and the financial risk in procurement.

Further, the course will also discuss the procurement risk mitigation tools, cost-benefit and ROI analysis and supplier financing and payment models; the procurement and financial strategy alignment, negotiation with financial tools and supplier evaluation and creditworthiness; the procurement contracts, financial implications, procurement audit and financial control; and the procurement financial reporting and procurement governance and compliance.

During this interactive course, participants will learn the digital tools in procurement finance, E-procurement systems and cost tracking; the data analytics in spend management, blockchain in procurement transactions and AI-driven procurement forecasting; the procurement finance to ESG goals and life-cycle costing in sustainability projects; the financial impact of green procurement initiatives and reporting sustainability in procurement finance; the predictive analytics for procurement costs and real-time financial dashboards; and the fintech and procurement integration.
