This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Control Assurance and Audit. It covers the importance of assurance including internal control systems and control objectives and principles; the control environment and governance, control design and implementation and risk management framework; the control self-assessment (CSA) techniques control effectiveness and monitoring activities and corrective actions; the documentation and control registers and internal versus external control assurance; and the internal audit framework, audit planning and risk-based audit approach. 

 

During this interactive course, participants will learn the control audit, testing methodologies, reporting audit findings and recommendations; the audit recommendations, dashboards and trackers, follow-up audits and validation; the regulatory and compliance landscape including ISO standards and internal controls; the audit certification processes, control maturity models, assurance mapping and GRC tools; the controls in transmission, distribution and grid management; the project-based risks and EPC-related controls, SCADA and digital controls; the energy theft and asset protection controls; and the audit interviewing and communication skills and control assurance roadmap.
