Course Description
This Practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops.
This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of ship superintendent training. It covers the charter party, its clauses and their effect on the vessel; the calculation of demurrage; the speed and fuel consumption requirements and on and off hire terms, survey and redelivery requirements; the chartering and cargo carriage; the control of operations and nautical equipment; the corporate and social responsibility, industry organizations and role of superintendent; the personnel management and financial management for ships; and the budget and cost control, purchasing, sale and takeover and delivery.
During this interactive course participants will learn the health, safety, security and environment (HSSE); the safety and risk management, emergency response, health and environment and ship recycling; the international conventions, flag states and registration of ship and port state control; the marine insurance and law; the project management and quality assurance; and the proper reporting, record keeping and information technology.
