Course Description
This practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies and exercises where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops.
This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of wellsite logging operations, tool selection and log data QC. It covers the electrical survey, spontaneous potential, induction logs, laterologs, micro resistivity logs, sonic logs and density logs; the neutron and gamma ray logs; the share volume, pore volume qand porosity from the neutron log; and the porosity from ES, micrologs and maximum porosity method.
During this interactive course, participants will learn the water resistivity from catalog or DST recovery, water zone, spontaneuous potential and water saturation from Archie method; the water saturation from simandoux method, dual water method, buckles number, ratio method and irreducible water saturation; the permeability and productivity, permeability from Wyllie-Rose method and permeability from porosity; and the calibration to modern logs, core data and Russian style logs.
