Course Description

 
This practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies and exercises where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops. 
 
The course focuses on lessons learnt from modern security monitoring and improvement procedural programs. The latest procedures on how failures can be detected will be discussed in details. 
 
The participants will review several security systems failure, case histories and will address the following: 
·         Security principals and requirements 
·         Root cause of failure 
·         Security system and process aspects 
·         Security system checklist 
·         Security system design-related failures and overloads 
·         Abnormal security conditions 
·         Security system audit, inspection and improvements program 
 
The course will also cover improvements for security management system including an introduction to security system improvements programs. The course will provide a complete guidance to security program monitoring, improvement procedural program and security techniques to investigation, collection of evidence and the preparation of security system evaluation reports. 
 
The case histories are selected from petrochemical and chemical process industries, oil and gas, pipelines, oil and water storage tanks, pressure vessels, utilities and power plants. 
 
The focus of the course is to learn from actual case histories to prevent security management systems weakness as well as to provide a structured approach to investigate and troubleshoot field of security system problems and anomalies discovered during inspections.
