Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes various practical sessions and exercises. Theory learnt will be applied using our state-of-the-art simulators. 

 

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a discipline devoted to the acquisition, storage, management, analysis, and visualization of spatial data. GIS gives you the ability to integrate and analyze spatial and non-spatial information for mapping, planning and decision-making.

 

The course covers a broad introduction to GIS including routes, creating of routes using GIS, working on routes using GIS, managing the routes using GIS for collector’s administrator and the benefits of routes using GIS.

 

The primary goal of this course is to ensure that participants become efficiently and effectively grounded in meter collection using GIS maps in order to design a proper routes. This can optimize their time and ensure proper flow of meter collection without any disruption.

 

A series of case studies will be illustrated during the course to provide examples of how GIS can be applied in different disciplines. Some hands-on software exercises provide an exposure to basic tools and GIS principles.

30 % Videos, Software & Simulators

VIRTUAL TRAINING (IF APPLICABLE)

If this course is delivered online as a Virtual Training, the following limitations will be applicable:

Certificates	:	Only soft copy certificates will be issued
Training Materials	:	Only soft copy materials will be issued
Training Methodology	:	80% theory, 20% practical
Training Program	:	4 hours per day, from 09:30 to 13:30
