Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes practical sessions and exercises. Theory learnt will be applied using our state-of-the art simulators. This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Vibration Monitoring System. It covers the fundamentals of vibration theory including vibration analysis in the petroleum sector; the components of a vibration monitoring system and condition monitoring techniques; the signal processing basics and set-up a vibration monitoring program; the effective data collection techniques and time-domain analysis; the frequency-domain analysis (FFT); the advanced signal analysis techniques and the vibration data management and storage and diagnosing imbalance and misalignment issues. During this interactive course, participants will learn the analysis of bearing fault, detecting gearbox faults and diagnosing motor and pump fault; identifying resonance and structural issues; integrating vibration monitoring systems with existing maintenance systems; the automation in vibration monitoring; calibrating and verifying vibration monitoring equipment; the safety considerations in vibration monitoring; the compliance with industry standards and regulations; the trend analysis and long-term monitoring including root cause analysis techniques; the predictive maintenance using vibration data; and reporting and communicating findings.
