Course Description
This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Project Accounting. It covers the challenges of the project management and accounting framework including the basic project management phases like project planning, project execution and control; the financial system, strategy, strategic project management and DuPont method; the basic accounting, finance and project management; the project team requirements and measurable financial success criteria used to evaluate project progress and completion; calculating return on investment; and the STO solution model and the process for implementing the model in the company.
During this interactive course, participants will learn the process of implementing a plan of strategy throughout a company; the tools necessary to answer the key finance questions of how cost is handled in the organization; the purpose of the cost, cost classifications and cost decisions; the process of project revenue and cash flows; the role of the financial manager and calculation of the statement of cash flows for a company; the concepts of free cash flows; the methods for calculating a project’s viability; the techniques of creating the project budget including planning for the future; and reviewing project financials and project cash flow.
