Course Description
This practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies and exercises where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops. This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of the cooling water treatment and corrosion. It covers the properties, resources, contamination, chemistry, solutions, mixtures and corrosive properties of water; the scale formation and the three phases of water treatment; the RO membrane water treatment processes; the basic principles and design of reverse osmosis technology; and the disposal in brackish and SWRO. During this interactive course, participants will learn the ion exchange, ion exchange resins, ion exchange softening and ion exchange dealkalizers; the purpose and comparison of decarbonators and degassifiers; the condensate polishing, two-bed demineralization and mixed beds; troubleshooting demineralizers and resin testing; the pre-treatment for corrosion control and oxygen control; the deaeration and individual conferences for water and resin analysis; and the corrosion and deposition control, chemical cleaning of pipes and condensate corrosion
