Mr. Mohamed Zakaria

Mr. Mohamed Zakaria, MSc, BSc, is a Senior Process Engineer with over 20 years of multi-disciplinary engineering & project experience in Gas Processing and Petrochemicals within an operating environment.  His extensive experience includes Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polymerization Technology, Catalyst Technology, Plastics Engineering, Polymers & Rubbers, Custom Polyethylene Modal, Polymerization Simulation, Plant Controlling, HYSYS, HAZOP, Gas Processing, Natural Gas Liquefaction, Heat Exchanger and Nitrogen/Air Separation. Further, his expertise lies on Start-up, Normal Shutdown, Emergency Shutdown, Troubleshooting and Operation Maintenance of the Plant Equipment. He is currently the Research & Development (R&D) Manager at SIDPEC wherein he is responsible for the management and reviewal of the tender package preparation and detailed engineering for the Polyethylene project with BP and for the Butene-1 plant with IFP as well as for Air Separation Unit with Linde AG.

During Mr. Zakaria’s career life, he has shared his technical knowledge and expertise as the Technology Assessment & Operation Section Head at Polyethylene & Butene-1 Plants of SIDPEC and a Process Engineer in Chlorine & Caustic Soda Plant of EPC. He has further participated in the preparation studies and technologies assessments for the new polymer projects of ECHEM.

Mr. Zakaria has a Master degree in Quality Management and a Bachelor degree in Chemistry. He has further obtained a Master Qualified Diploma in Research & Development (R&D).
