Dr. Moayyad Al Nasra, PE, PhD, CPESE, RSO, is a Senior Structural & Civil Engineer with over 30 years of industrial experience in the field Structural Design, Reinforced Concrete & Steel Design, Damage Assessment, Concrete Damage Rehabilitation, Risk Based Inspection Maintenance Strategy, Pre-Stressed Concrete Design, Durability of Reinforced Concrete Structures, Civil Engineering Technology, Concrete Methods and Principles, Steel Design Principles and Applications, Wind Engineering and Calculating Forced on Structures, Construction Methods and Equipment, Properties of Engineering Materials, Concrete & Construction Management, Engineering Economic Analysis, Soils and Foundations, Engineering Drawing, Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Fluid Flow, Steel and Timber Design, Construction Project Management, Construction Planning and Scheduling, Cost Estimate and Structural Laboratory. He is currently the Professor & Consulting Engineer wherein he is responsible in structural engineering, structural evaluation, forensic engineering, construction project management and construction scheduling.


During his career life, Dr. Moayyad performed various design and construction of numerous housing projects, buildings and industrial structures. He was the Consulting Engineer, Manager/Founder, Design Engineer and Site Engineer as well as a Professor, Chairman, ABET Consultant, Interim Chairman, Associate Professor, Adjunct Associate Professor, Adjunct Assistant Faculty, Adjunct Faculty, Assistant Professor, Teaching Assistant, Graduate Research Assistant, Lecturer, Seminar Instructor, Computer Programmer and Computer Lab Consultant for various International Universities wherein his academic profession focused on Structural Design, Pre-Stressed Concrete Design, Concrete Methods and Principles, Construction Project Management, Steel Design Principles and Applications.


Dr. Moayyad is a Registered Professional Engineer in the states of Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia and from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) and holds a PhD, Master and Bachelor degrees in Civil Engineering from the Old Dominion University, Virginia, USA and Yarmouk University respectively. Further, he is a Certified Instructor/Trainer, a Licensed Radioactive Safety Officer (RSO) and a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sedimentation Control (CPESC). Moreover, he is an active member of various professional engineering affiliations such as the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Concrete Institute (ACI) and American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). He has also published and authored numerous books/journal articles/proceedings/conference papers/technical reports like “The Use of Swimmer Bars as Shear Reinforcement in Concrete Flat Plates”, “Experimental Study of Concrete Filled Built-up Steel Tabular Beams” and “New Optimizing Genetic Algorithm: Applied to the Design of Pre-Stresses Concrete Beams” just to name a few.
