Mr. Lloyd McConkey, is an International Rope Access Trainer with extensive experience within the Onshore, Offshore, Petroleum, Oil & Gas industries. His broad expertise includes Confined Space Entry, Rope Rescue, Working at Heights, Work Positioning, Fall Arrest, Basic Rigging, Risk Assessment Completion and Hazard Identification. He is also well-versed in bolting, painting, roof repairs, lighting installation, platform installation and solar panel installation. Currently, he is an IRATA Level III Offshore Supervisor wherein he is responsible in various forms of maintenance that includes inspection, rigging, rescue, stand-by crew and painting.

 

During his career life, Mr. McConkey has gained his practical and field experience through his various significant positions and dedication as the IRATA Level III Training Instructor, IRATA Level III Training Supervisor, Offshore IRATA Level I, II & III, IRATA Rope Access Technician Level III, Site Supervisor, Lead Instructor, Trainee Instructor, Health & Safety Representative, Commercial Diver and Commercial Rock & Foundation Breaker for numerous international companies such as the Rope Access Inspection (RAI), ASC, Globalsantafe, Sea Drill, Total, Transocean, De Beers, Saipem, ENSCO, Top Rope, Frofsquad and Pro-Dive/Blast Solutions.

 

Mr. McConkey is a Certified IRATA Rope Access Level III and IRATA Level III Training Instructor. Further, he obtained various Rigging & Scaffolding Certifications such as an OPITO Rigging Stage 1 Banksman & Slinger Operations, CCU Pre-trip Inspection, Loler & Puwer, Rigging Loft Management, Basic Safe Slinging & Lifting, Rigging & Safety, Scaffolding, Rigging Testing Qualification, Open Water Level 1 Diving, Rescue Diver Padi, HSE Class 3 Commercial Diver, Day Skipper Small Craft, Ocean Going Crew Deckhand, Boulder Buster User and Non-detonation Cartage.
