Professor Jason Hodgkiss


 

Mr. Jason Hodgkiss, PgDip, CEnv, CoCA, is a Senior Industrial Hygiene Consultant with over 25 years of extensive experience within the Oil, Gas, Refinery and Petrochemical and Environmental industries. His expertise includes Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Hygiene, Thermal Environment, Hazardous Substances, Ergonomics, Noise Measurement, Asbestos Surveys, Asbestos Sampling & Identification, Risk Assessment and Asbestos Registers, Asbestos Removals, Asbestos Legislation, Asbestos Working Procedures, Exposure Assessment, Legionella Risk Assessment for Water Systems in Buildings and Process Plants, Air Quality and Industrial Emissions Monitoring & Assessment, Fire Risk Assessment, Occupational Hygiene, Historic Asbestos Exposure Assessment, Asbestos in Contaminated Land and Asbestos Removal Techniques. Further, he is also well verse in Project Management & Clearance Testing, Firefighting, Fire Rescue Services and Fire Operations. Currently, he is the Managing Director of On Advice Limited as well as the Regional Organizer of British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) wherein he is responsible for extending the scope of and running UKAS quality assurance schemes and development and delivery of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) proficiency module courses. He is also responsible for the delivery of asbestos survey, re-inspection and audit processes ensuring compliance with the Council’s Duty to Manage Asbestos and other obligations derived under the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulation (CAR) 2012.

 

During his career life, Mr. Hodgkiss has gained his practical and field experience through his various significant positions and dedication as the Director, Regional Director, Associate Director, Asbestos Project Director, Principal Consultant, Site Technician & Consultant, Operational Fire-Fighter, Microbiology Lab Technician and Environmental Technician for various international companies such as the RKS Stats Limited, RPS Group, Metropolitan Police, Thomson Laboratories, Transport for London, Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue Service and Norfolk Cares Support, just to name a few.

 

Mr. Hodgkiss has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Occupational Hygiene from the University of Manchester, a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors and obtained a Certificate of Competence in Asbestos (CoCa) from the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS). Further, he is a Certified Instructor/Trainer, a Registered Chartered Scientist from The Science Council, a Registered Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) from the Society of the Environment (SocEnv), a UK Registered of Expert Witnesses for Asbestos, a Qualified British Examining Board in Occupational Hygiene P-Cert (Asbestos), a Qualified British Occupational Hygiene Society P402 Surveying Buildings for Asbestos Containing Materials, a Qualified British Examining Board in Occupational Hygiene Certified Competent Person (Asbestos) and a Qualified AAA Training Asbestos Supervisors. Moreover, he was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Norfolk Careers Support and a member of the Institute of Directors, UK Register of Expert Witnesses (Asbestos), British Occupational Hygiene Society Specialist (Asbestos), Institution of Environmental Sciences and British Occupational Hygiene Society Proficiency Module Practical Assessor.
