Mr. Geoff
Chapman is a Senior
Fire & Safety Consultant with
over 35 years of teaching
practical and knowledge experience within
the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical
and Power industries. He
is an expert in Advanced Storage
Tank Fire, Fire Fighting,
Fire Safety, Fire Prevention, Fire Investigation, Marine
Fire Fighting, Incident Command, Confined Space and Breathing Apparatus. Further, he is also
well-versed in boilers, above ground petroleum installation, safe working practices, system design and installation, manual handling, electrical safety, hot work,
first aid, de-fib, trauma care, road traffic accident, chemical incidents and lift rescue incidents. He is currently the Senior Fire Safety Instructor of FireDIRECT
wherein he is teaching fire and safety trainings aimed mainly at Oil
Rig Personnel and industries in the Middle East like Firewatch, Fire
Team Member & Leader, Fire Warden/Marshall, Advanced Fire Fighting,
Confined Space & Breathing Apparatus.
During his long career life, Mr. Chapman worked with various international companies in Europe and the Middle East with prime positions such as the British Gas Service Engineer, Operational Fire Fighter, Operational Watch Commander, Watch Manager, Crew Manager and Operational Station Officer.
Mr. Chapman holds
a City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in
domestic gas installation and maintenance as well as in central heating and
water heating. He is a Certified Train-the-Trainer and a Certified Assessor by
City & Guilds as a C24 and D32 wherein he can facilitate learning through
demonstration and instruction as well as assessing candidate performance.
Further, he is a Certified Instructor/Trainer and he has acquired a CIEH Foundation Certificate Health &
Safety in the Workplace and he is a member of Gas Safe Register for Gas
Operatives and a Graduate of the Institute
of Fire Engineers.
