Mr. Ashraf Kamoon, MSc, BSc, is a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with over 20 years of extensive experience in Oil, Gas,
Chemical, Petrochemical and Power industries. He specializes in Maintenance
Management, Maintenance Planning,
Reliability Management, Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Total Plant Maintenance (TPM) and
Reliability-Availability-Maintainability (RAM), Rotating &
Static Equipment including Pumps, Valves, Compressors,
Bearings, Tanks, Piping & Pipelines, Piping
Stress Analysis (Caesar II), Turbines, Gear Boxes, Motors,
Fans and Blowers. He has also extensive experience in mechanical
design, production engineering, condition monitoring, vibration
analysis, failure analysis, alignment, inspection, NDT
and quality control. He is currently the Maintenance Head and
Quality Manager at the Atomic Energy Authority (AEA).
During his career life, Mr. Ashraf held various positions such as a Site Engineer, Design
Engineer, Installation Engineer and Commissioning Engineer where
he was primarily in charge of the inspection, review and approval of
commissioning and installation procedures.
He has also participated in operational and commissioning tests for
reactors at the Atomic Energy Authority and has travelled across Europe,
South America and the Middle East to manage various projects
and present training programs. His
experience in the design, installation, assessment and inspection of static
equipment and piping systems has made him well-versed in various
softwares such as the Caesar II for stress analysis and CADpipe
for piping layout and design.
Throughout his career, he has extensively referred to the application
of various codes and standards such as API, ASME and ISO.
Mr. Ashraf has a Master degree in Mechanical Design and
Production Engineering and is a Fellow
of the World Nuclear University. He also holds international licenses in Maintenance
Engineering and Management from nuclear regulatory bodies in the
Middle East and South America.
