Professor Robert Krause

Mr. Robert Krause, MSc, BSc, is an International Expert and Consultant in Emergency Medical Services, Firefighting and Security Operations with over 20 years of practical experience.  His expertise includes fire suppression, emergency medical care, cause & origin determination, fire investigation, rescue operations, extrication, special operations such as hazardous materials, rope rescue and weapons of mass destruction training. Currently, he is the Program Director for the Fire & EMS Academy where he is responsible for the supervision of training matters related to Fire & EMS to all TFD personnel. Further, he is also a Professor with the Emergency Medical Services Program where he handles emergency medical technician classes that include patient assessment, medical and cardiac emergencies, trauma and pediatric care, pediatric airway stabilization, ambulance operations, geriatric care and communications. On top of this, he is an active firefighter, paramedic, fire officer, emergency medical and fire fighting instructor, researcher and an author.

During his long career life, Mr. Krause worked with various international companies such as United States Navy, Emergency Services Consultant Ltd., Toledo Fire and Rescue Department, Sylvania Fire Department, Philadelphia Fire Department and Owens Community College, with prime positions such as a Certified Emergency Medical Services Instructor, Certified Fire-fighter Instructor, Fire Training Bureau Instructor, Fire/EMS Communications Supervisor, Fire Communications & Dispatch Supervising Officer, Fire Training Officer and Line Officer.

Mr. Krause has a Master degree in Security ManagementHomeland Security and Occupational Health as well as a Bachelor degree in Fire & Safety Engineering and Fire Science. Further, he is a Licensed Practitioner of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), IS-100 Incident Command, IS-200 Incident Command for Federal Disaster Workers, IS-700 National Incident Management System, Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Moreover, he is a Certified Paramedic, Firefighter & Fire Officer, Fire Safety Inspector and an Emergency Medical Services Instructor. He is further a well-respected member of the National Flight Paramedics Association, the Association of Public Safety Communication (APCO), the National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE), the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF), the International Society of Fire Service Instructors, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the National Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch (NAEMD). He has additionally continue to teach, write and consult in various fire and emergency medical related topics and among his publications are “Fire Attack”, “Pearls of Wisdom: Emergency Medical Technician-Basic”, “Paramedic & Pediatric Advanced Life Support”, “High Rise Firefighting”, “A Refresher, the Minimum Fire Flows for Attack Lines”, “Conflict in the Firehouse” and “Strategies for Leadership”.
