Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops. This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Field Development and Business Planning. It covers the fundamentals of field development in the oil and gas industry; the reservoir characterization, reservoir properties and behavior; the geological and geophysical aspects and the role of geology and geophysics in field development; the well planning and design and the basics of well architecture and design principles; the field development strategies and different strategies for optimal field development; the asset management in reservoir engineering; and the steps and strategies for creating effective asset action plans. Further, the course will also discuss the risk management and mitigation in field development; the economic evaluation and cost analysis; the technology integration for efficient asset management; the principles and methods of production forecasting; the data analysis and interpretation and utilizing data for accurate forecasting; and the advanced reservoir simulation techniques and methods for forecasting link to course overview PDF

Training Methodology: 80% of the program will be theory and 20% will be practical sessions, exercises, case studies, simulators or videos
