Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies and exercises where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops The course is designed to provide delegates with proper knowledge on the survey, inspection and repair of vessel hull and machinery. It will discuss the importance of IMO resolutions and guidelines on survey and certifications. Participants will be able to identify the various types of inspections including classification societies, recognized organizations, port state control and vetting as well as to practice the class inspection for deck, hull, tanks, holds and engine. Further, the course will also identify the recognized organizations in inspection and audits for vessel documentation, deck, tanks, holds, engine, DOC, ISM and ISPS.; carryout port state control inspections and vetting inspections; and perform the inspection and reparation on holds and hull damages. link to course overview PDF

If this course is delivered online as a Virtual Training, the following limitations will be applicable

Certificates: Only soft copy certificates will be issued to participants through Haward’s Portal. This includes Wallet Card Certificates if applicable

Training Methodology: 80% of the program will be theory and 20% will be practical sessions, exercises, case studies, simulators or videos
Training Program: The training will be for 4 hours per day starting at 09:30 and ending at 13:30

Site Visit: Not Applicable
Simulators: Only software simulators will be used in the virtual courses. Hardware simulators are not applicable and will not be used in Virtual Training
